Wang Xiaofu (1991, Wuhan) lives and works in Shanghai. She studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the LeRoy Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Through painting, installation, writing, and performance, she describes and visualizes the existence of things, individual perceptions, and the boundaries between existence and perceptions, and explores the overlapping, folding, dissolving, and covering between them. She has received a 2018-2019 fellowship from Shandaken Paint School, a New York-based fully-awarded arts organization, and was selected as a nominee for the 2018 Rema Hort Man Emerging Artist Grant for the New York region.
