Tian Tian (1983, Xian) graduated from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 2006, She currently lives and works in Beijing.
Tiantian's works often depict everyday spaces or actual locations, yet they offer an unusual viewing experience: through a meticulously arranged process of simplification, she guides us through deep, empty passages where emptiness and silence function as simultaneous forces in both visual and auditory realms. In the end, they elegantly echo an old saying from classical Eastern aesthetics: "Stillness leads to far-reaching clarity.” Recent exhibitions include: “Picturing”, CLC Gallery Venture, Beijing, 2025; “Breeze”, C5CNM, Beijing 2025; “Flower · Bird”, ARTiX3, Tokyo,2025; “Untender Green”, XZ Space, Beijing, 2025; “Map of settlements”, Zapbeijing gallery, Beijing, 2021; “Together”, Aura gallery, Beijing, 2016; “Collection of hand scroll—calligraphy from the contemporary artists”, 01100001 gallery, Beijing, 2013.
