Liu Ding (Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, 1976) is an artist and independent curator living in Beijing. His artistic creation and curatorial practice organically connects history and contemporary from the perspective of history of ideas and traces and gazes from multiple angles, unfolding a subjective narrative of Chinese art with multiple threads. Liu Ding has participated in Busan Biennale (2018), Yinchuan Biennale (2018), Istanbul Biennial (2015), Asia-Pacific Triennial (2015), New Orleans Biennial (2014), Shanghai Biennale (2014), Taipei Biennale (2012), China Pavilion at Venice Biennale (2009), Seoul Media Biennale (2008) and Guangzhou Triennial (2005). Exhibition (2005). Since 2011, Liu Ding has co-curated a series of exhibitions with Lu Yinghua, and he was the Artistic Director of the Yokohama Triennale 2023.
